FIT IN
Everyone has to fit in somewhere,
everything has to find its place.
If not we will have a problem here,
that’s why I really have to say something.
I don’t really like to be compared,
to be thrown with other girls in a suitcase.
To be locked away and have nothing more to say,
that's what you really have to face.
Oh I hate that every little thing is framed and put in order
and I can’t stand the feeling to have to make it right.
All these rules and expectations narrow down my creativity
and I’m afraid to make a fool out of myself.
Although I really try not to care too much
about what other people think and might slander about.
I often can’t deny that it bothers me
to see that they won’t agree with me.
I don’t pretend to be the one to know, oh no,
how to make a change and how to let things flow.
My mind struggles hard to forget about
the pigeon holes that rule our world.
Still I hate that every little thing is framed and put in order
and I can’t stand the feeling to have to make it right.

A magical place where people would go

and the windows are barred with wood.

This house had something unique and most beautiful
that simply blew your mind.

MASKS
Many human beings I meet in the city
seem so busy and self-absorbed.
They look down on the street, their faces do not tell me
what they think or even what they feel.
I walk through the streets and wonder why they seem
so distant and all alone.
Is it easier that way and can they handle their day
without sharing what’s going on.
They walk and talk and they eat their meals
as fast as they can cause work is waiting again.
They hurry and worry all day long
until they finally go to sleep.
I sit down on a bench, observe the passing people,
how they move, how they act all weird.
They can’t let loose, need to know all the news,
are addicted to all sorts of things.
They care about their jobs and play perfect roles,
never admit to feel weak or low.
How long can this go on? They are fighting on their own,
losing hopes and dreams for good.
This world is such a crazy place,
it's all about the come and go.
People, where the hell are we heading to?
They walk and talk and they eat their meals
as fast as they can cause work is waiting again.
They hurry and worry all day long
until they finally go to sleep.

Ursina is a Swiss singer-songwriter. She sings not only in english, but also in her mother tongue Romansh, a minority
language only spoken in the eastern Swiss Alps.
